At DCIM, there is no required background or prerequisite experience. We seek exceptional individuals with an interest in understanding the fundamental forces that drive market prices, strong analytical judgment, and comfort with quantitative techniques. Our hiring process is designed to cast a wide net for candidates who can develop differentiated views through rigorous research, sound reasoning, and close attention to real-world developments. Each fall, we visit a handful of schools across the country, but our employees also come from campuses that we are not able to visit. Our off-campus recruiting process provides us the necessary logistical wherewithal to identify and hire sharp minds across the country. We are an equal opportunity employer.
On the campuses we visit, candidates have an opportunity to speak with our employees at career fairs to learn more about DCIM. To apply for a position, applicants should submit all required materials through their school’s recruiting portal. Selected candidates will meet with us for a virtual first-round interview; a set of virtual second round interviews will then be conducted on a later day. Candidates that pass our virtual interviews will be invited to visit us at our office for interviews, one-on-ones with current Analysts/Associates, company presentations, and meals with the team.
Our interview process is designed to assess candidates’ problem solving, analytical, and communication skills. Throughout the process, candidates can expect to discuss prior work and research projects; develop and defend new investment or trading ideas; interpret market, company, and industry data; assess key catalysts and risks; and respond to short-form analytical questions.
At many campuses that we do not visit, we coordinate with career centers to display job postings, so applicants from these schools should find us on their school’s recruiting portal (e.g., Handshake).
For those from institutions that we have not coordinated with or applicants currently in the workforce, applications should be submitted directly to us and should comprise a cover letter, transcript, and a resume.
